At Meram, privacy is an engineering guarantee, not a marketing claim. Your audio is streamed in real-time memory and immediately purged.
1. Architectural Zero Retention
Your audio is transmitted over an encrypted TLS 1.3 connection only while you actively hold the shortcut key. It is processed in ephemeral real-time RAM and immediately deleted the moment transcription and refinement finish.
We never write audio recordings, voice samples, or raw transcripts to server disks or persistent cloud databases.
2. No Model Training
Your voice and text are never used to train, retrain, or fine-tune artificial intelligence models.
3. Full GDPR & KVKK Compliance
Meram adheres strictly to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). Data minimization is enforced at the protocol level.
4. What Stays on Your Device
The most secure place for your data is your own machine:
- Dictation History: Stored strictly in a local SQLite database on your computer.
- Personal Dictionary: Your vocabulary and acronyms reside exclusively in your local configuration.
- Settings: Stored locally in encrypted operating system storage.
5. Frictionless & Secure Sign-In
Authentication is handled securely via 1-click Google Sign-In (SSO). We never see or store your Google password.
6. Password & Sensitive Field Protection
Meram inspects focused window controls before typing. If it detects a password or secure credential field, text injection is automatically refused to safeguard your credentials.
7. Deleting Your Data
You can delete your local history with a single click inside the app, or completely remove all traces by uninstalling the application.
